ABOUT SARAH

Sarah is a native Californian who takes pride in having *mostly* adapted to the Northeast weather of NYC!
Sarah is an operatically trained soprano turned cross-over artist who celebrates being genre and career diverse. She is a voice-specialized speech pathologist by day and artiste by night!

Her love for singing and performing was cultivated during her undergraduate work earning a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music at Chapman University. She frequently performed in operas, recitals, and as a choral soloist. Favorite roles include Nella in Gianni Schicchi and Juliette in scenes from Roméo et Juliette.

While continuing to train her voice, Sarah developed a passion for vocal health and rehabilitation, which lead her to pursue a Master's of Speech Pathology from Northwestern University. Northwestern was the perfect institution for her SLP studies because it allowed her to take private vocal lessons and graduate courses at the Bienen School of Music. This intersection of performance and science has set her up to enjoy a rewarding dual career!

Since moving to NYC, Sarah has maintained a balanced dual career with her clinical and studio work as well as performance opportunities in musical theater and opera. Most recently she performed as Casilda in The Gondoliers with Troupers Light Opera as well as concert appearances with the Greenwich Art Council and The Chain Theater.

When she's not singing, teaching, or healing voices, Sarah loves a good cup of coffee, walking her dog Theo in Central Park, and trying out a new NYC restaurant with her husband, Patrick.
